Development Scheme for Professional Experts in Natural Medicine

Eligible Persons

Eligible persons are graduates of pharmaceutical science faculties and master’s programs of the University of Toyama, other Japanese universities, and universities in China, Korea, and other countries.

Ph.D. Program in Pharmaceutical Science  (Beginning in the 2012-2013 academic year)(Ph.D. Program in Pharmaceutical Life Science for the 2011-2012 Academic Year)

The Graduate School will provide internships that organically link research, development, quality control, marketing, and other business processes at pharmaceutical companies in Toyama Prefecture that handle natural medicine while maintaining the continuity of the Master’s and Ph.D. Programs.

Ph.D. Program in Pharmacy (Beginning in the 2012-2013 academic year)(Ph.D. Program in Pharmaceutical Life Science for the 2011-2012 Academic Year)

The Graduate School will conduct internships at hospitals and pharmacies specialized in Kampo-medicine in Toyama Prefecture.

Personnel to be Developed

The programs will develop expert clinical pharmacists knowledgeable in the field of natural medicine to engage in team medicine and researchers and technicians knowledgeable in the field of natural medicine who have practical skills in drug development at pharmaceutical companies. These pharmacists, researchers, and technicians are expected to make an immediate contribution at workplaces.
