The 2nd TAA-Pharm Symposium was held.

As one of our activities for “the establishment of Toyama-Asia-Africa Pharmaceutical Network (TAA Pharmnet)”, approved by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Core-to-Core Program (B. Asia-Africa Science Platforms), the title symposium was held at Shandong University, China on September 25 and 26. In the symposium, 13 invited lectures and 34 poster lectures were presented and the latest drug research results were discussed. From University of Toyama 10 professors and 12 students went to China and 29 Chinese professors and researchers and 14 Chinese students participated.
The 3rd TAA Pharm Symposium will be held at Toyama International Conference Center next September.

The 1st TAA-Pharm Symposium was held.

The establishment of Toyama-Asia-Africa Pharmaceutical Network (TAA Pharmnet), which is based on traditional and natural drug use in the pharmaceutical department, is a project to establish a research core approved by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Core-to-Core Program (B. Asia-Africa Science Platforms). As one of our activities, the title symposium was held at the Toyama International Conference Center on September 12 and 13. Ten researchers were invited from five universities in Asia and Africa. 18 Invited lectures and 59 poster lectures were presented and latest drug research results were shown. Approximately 150 participants participated in the symposium, with professors, doctors, students, and corporate researchers.

Cairo University and University of Toyama Joint Seminar was held.

The Joint Seminar 'Recent Advances in Drug Discovery and Biopharmaceutics' was held at Cairo University, Egypt on January 22. From University of Toyama 5 professors and more than 10 professors from Cairo University participated.
