実践薬学研究室の前身は、平成12年（2000年）に新設された医薬品安全性学研究室であり、現在の薬学部臨床薬学教育推進センターの創設とともに併設されました。医薬品安全性学研究室を主宰された橋本征也先生は、薬物動態と薬効・毒性の基礎と臨床に関する研究の展開によって、本学の臨床薬学教育・研究の発展に貢献されました。令和3年（2021年）に准教授であった田口雅登が教授として昇任し、以後４年間にわたる「医薬品安全性学・実践薬学」の並行体制を経て、現在の実践薬学研究室として活動を続けています。

The predecessor of the "Laboratory of Pharmacy Practice and Sciences" was the Laboratory of Dr. Yukiya Hashimoto, which was established in 2000 alongside the “Advanced Education Center of Clinical Pharmacy”. Dr. Hashimoto contributed to the advancement of clinical pharmacy education and research at the University of Toyama through the development of basic and clinical research on pharmacokinetics and drug efficacy/toxicity. In 2021, Masato Taguchi, who was then an Associate Professor, was promoted to Professor, and after a four-year period of a parallel organizational structure, the laboratory has continued its activities as the present "Laboratory of Pharmacy Practice and Sciences".
