About the University of Toyama Cooperative (COOP)
Center for Healthcare and Human Sciences

These facilities provide professional public-health services to help maintain and improve the health of students, faculty members, and staff. The center employs instructors (who are in charge of medical care and consultation), nurses, and counselors to provide health checks, emergency care, and consultations on health, mental health, relationship issues, and so on.
On each campus, the health center provides a variety of measurement tools, training aids, and relaxation devices that are available for use by students.

Comprehensive Consultation Counters for Students

The consultation counter on each campus has its own coordinator who is available to students for consultations on any topic. The coordinators can advise on anything from academic matters to issues in college life to various personal concerns. We hope that by talking about even seemingly trivial concerns, students can discover solutions to their problems. Depending on the issue, the coordinator works with medical doctors or counselors in the Public Health Management Center to help support a more fulfilling campus life for students.

Honors and Recognition

The university has a program to recognize and honor students who have reached high levels of achievement in study, extracurricular activities, or social activities. In selecting recipients, we consider students' off-campus activities and experiences as well as their on-campus activities.
