Career Support

Offering Helpful Support to Help Students Make Their Future Plans Come True

The Sugitani Campus provides career support to students, helping them determine the next steps to take and how to achieve these goals, particularly through employment guidance. Starting around October, the university holds various distinctive guidance events, including opportunities to hear from students who have already received unofficial job offers talking about their experiences seeking employment, opportunities to hear from visiting lecturers about advice on how to improve the communication and reception skills that are key parts of job interviews, opportunities to hear from people who work at companies involved in pharmaceutical manufacture talking about the current state and future of their industry, and more.
In addition, the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers everyday individual guidance, where the teachers at each laboratory can talk with the students of their lab, providing guidance for job-hunting and checking in on how their efforts are going.

Job-Hunting Presentation

This is a great opportunity to hear from Pharmaceutical Sciences students who have received unofficial job offers through their job-hunting efforts. After presentations based on type of work, such as hospitals, pharmacies, government, and pharmaceutical companies, there are also Q&A sessions.

Lecture on Communication Skills

This lecture by a professional announcer — an expert in speaking — features explanations of communications techniques, including words more likely to get your point across and techniques on making yourself understood. The goal is to provide training in how to speak, a skill set that is certain to be valuable both during interviews and as members of society.

Industry workshop

Learn the latest information on various industries from people who work at hospitals, at pharmacies, as government officials, at pharmaceutical companies, and more. This is a great source for plenty of valuable information for trying to decide what to do next.

Seminar on Toyama Prefecture’s pharmaceutical industry

This seminar is held by the Toyama Pharmaceutical Association as part of their efforts to help secure talented individuals to work as pharmacists and in other roles in Toyama’s pharmaceutical industry. Learn about the current state of Toyama’s pharmaceutical industry through the seminar, and learn about various companies through booths.
